WHAT ARE THE EYELASH EXTENSION SETS?

What is an eyelash extension set?

An eyelash extension set is when semi-permanent synthetic fibers, also known eyelash extensions, are attached on every lashable natural lash to achieve a complete look. Once each lashable natural lash has an extension, it can then be called a set.

Difference between Full set and Fill set.

There are two ways on how to achieve an eyelash extension set, the full set and the refill a.k.a. fill set. Let’s first define a full set then comes the fill set.

A full set of eyelash extensions happens when you are getting a brand new set of eyelash extensions and where a lash artist covers your entire lash line and every lashable natural lash with an eyelash extension. This is typically done for first-timers and for clients who are coming back from an eyelash extension break. A full set can take around two hours or longer to complete.

A refill or fill set, on the other hand, is the maintenance for your eyelash extensions. Yes, your eyelash extensions will require maintenance if you want to keep on having that desired eyelashes. Our natural lash has a lash cycle where we lose around 20 to 30% of our natural lash after a couple of weeks. This natural shedding of our natural lash will result in fewer eyelash extensions after 2 weeks and from a 100% full set of eyelash extensions it can go down to as few as 40% of eyelash extensions remaining (if retention is good), this is where the maintenance of the fill set is needed. Fill set is applying eyelash extensions to new natural lashes which will again cover the entire lash line for a complete and full eyelash extension look. A fill set can take around one hour and thirty minutes to two hours to complete.

What are the different eyelash extension sets?

There are four eyelash extension sets that you and/or your client may choose from. The Classic, The Volume, The Mega Volume, and The Hybrid.

Classic eyelash extension set

The Classic Eyelash Extension Set is when the full set consists of only one eyelash extension applied per natural lash, also called 1:1 ratio.  If you want a more simple and natural look for your client you'll definitely want to try this one. And if you’re looking for a go-to classic eyelash extension tray, Forabeli Cashmere is the classic eyelash extension for you.

The Volume Eyelash Extension Set is quite distinct from a classic eyelash extension set. It has a more volume and lengthy look which results in a more dramatic and full look for your eyes. It’s an eyelash extension set that consists of putting fans per natural lash. Its eyelash extension fan is a combination of 2 to 5 eyelash extension, these eyelash extensions, however, have a lighter weight

Mega Volume eyelash extension set

If you’re not satisfied with the “volume” and the drama brought by the average volume eyelash extension set, don’t be sad, because what follows a volume is a much bigger, and a much more dramatic look for those beautiful eyes. Mega Volume Eyelash Extension Set is definitely for you, this set is very similar to volume technique where a fan is applied per lash and is created using a more lightweight combination of lashes as a much bigger fan. The mega volume eyelash extension fan is a combination of 6 to 16 eyelash extensions.

Hybrid eyelash extension set

Last but not the least, the Hybrid Eyelash Extension Set is a mixed set of Classic and Volume eyelash extension sets. Normally it consists of 50% natural lashes with Classic eyelash extensions and the other 50% natural lashes with Volume eyelash extensions. Hybrid gives the definition of Classic with the added fullness of Volume.

Now that we’ve familiarized ourselves with Classic, Volume, Mega Volume, and Hybrid eyelash extension sets, let’s not miss out on using the best products in achieving these sets! See our Cashmere Eyelash Extensions. What follows are steps that you can take to achieve those fabulous eyelash extensions set while having the bomb retention.

4 Step eyelash extension application process.

Step 1 is to lash bath your client’s lashes with Forabeli Lash Shampoo. Pump the lash shampoo on the lash brush and gently brush those lashes clean. Rinse the foam off and let the lashes rest till dry.

Step 2 is to prime those lashes with Forabeli Lash Primer. Use two micro swabs with a drop of the lash primer, one micro swab goes over the lashes, the other under the lashes. Let them gently touch in between the lashes till dirt and oil are removed. This process works best for clients with excessive oil on their lashes and dirt residues that we’re not removed by the lash bath.

Step 3 is to apply the eyelash extensions. Prepare the lashes and Forabeli glue that you’ll be using. Preparation includes having the preferred glue environment, 70-74F (21-23C) temperature and RH 40-70% humidity. Dip the lashes properly, and get the perfect amount of glue and perfectly apply those extensions on the natural lash. Repeat the process till the set is well done.

Step 4 is to use the Forabeli Max Solution as a bonder. Dip a micro swab in the Max Solution bottle then lightly press onto the lash base and in between the lashes where the adhesive is on. Let it sit for at least 3 minutes until completely dry.

Step 5 is definitely to take a picture of your lash set! And wait for that strong and long retention.

With that said, know your eyelash extensions set. Classic, Volume, Mega volume, Hybrid eyelash extensions for a beautiful life!
