More than a profession

So, tell me something about  yourself?

It's actually very awkward for me to talk about myself lol. I'm 23 and live in NYC. I had a hard time figuring out a career path when I was finishing school, but now that I think back its not surprising that it would be in the beauty field, I've been obsessed with the beauty world since the age of 15.

What is the best part of being an Eyelash Technician? Do you have any  other expertise?

I love seeing my clients' reaction! They always look so happy and excited to go out with a beautiful set. I just love seeing other people happy so it's very rewarding. Yes, I’m also a makeup artist!

You look like a fashion model more than a lash technician. What can you say about it?

Lol a lot of people tell me I look like a model, hopefully one day I can do both! I feel like it's a lot of people's dream to be a model someday, it sure was mine. It still is, but I’m really shy so hopefully when I break out of my shell it will happen.

You’ve done a major change with your hair. Tell us more about it.

Yes I did! I decided to cut it off a few years ago, me and my ex bf had just gone through a nasty breakup and I needed a big change in my life. I wanted to take back my confidence so I decided to cut off all my hair. It was literally the best decision I have made. I felt so free, so strong, so beautiful and like a real badass.

It seems that you like making videos in Youtube as well. Do you do this regularly or for specials?

I try to do it regularly but it's really hard since I’m not tech-savy. I'm trying to work on that though so I can post lashing videos. It will be fun to put my work out there more often and be able to reach new lash artist and even ones who just want to learn about different products or different techniques.

What is the most challenging part in dealing with your clients as a lash technician?

I've been blessed with such amazing clients! The only challenging part is picking the right glue for them, sometimes they don't know if they are sensitive or not so I have to make sure I pick the right one.

Your best advice to those who will enter the lash profession? Any tips you want to share?

Never stop learning! There is ALWAYS room for growth. Practice every day, isolation, fanning and picking up lashes, small things like this will help you in the long run lash quicker without compromising the quality of a set. My only tip will be to put your heart into it. If you love what you do it will reflect in your work❤️
